Dear colleagues,

See the invitation for the seminar below:

Välkomna till Forum för form, estetik och gestaltnings seminarium med Bodil Formark, onsdagen den 9 juni kl. 13:00-16.00.
“On cross-sectorial collaboration between knowledge forms – explorative potentials and instrumental benefits”
In this workshop Bodil Formark will visit us and share her experiences of cross-sectorial collaboration between academia and the performing arts. Attention also will be put on the historic background to the emergence of artistic research as well as on the contemporary emphasis, within both research politics and research funding, on interdisciplinarity and collaboration. The workshop will include discussion sessions around these topics and how to work together with idea development.
Bio: Bodil Formark has a research background in History and Gender studies. Her thesis Den välsituerade flickan: Om den svenska flickscoutrörelsens historia 1910-1940 (The Well-Situated Girl: On the History of Swedish Girl Scouting 1910-1940) was in 2019 transformed into the theatre play “Riddare av tusen äventyr” by Potato Potato Scenkonst. Apart from her research activities within Girlhood Studies and method development regarding explorative forms of collaboration across disciplines and sectors Bodil has also worked both at Stockholm University of the Arts and Umeå University with research support such as idea development, funding strategies and application writing. She currently works at the Research Support and Collaboration Office at Umeå University.
