Seminar: ‘East meets West- the Case of Labour Migration to Sweden’
November 25, at 6 pm, Stockholm University
REMESO researchers Charles Woolfson (project leader), AnnetteThörnquist and Indre Genelyte will hold a seminar to report on FAS/FORTE Project ‘The Swedish model and Baltic mobility: harmonisation or social dumping? A study of labour migration between the Baltics and Sweden’. It will take place November 25th at Stockholm University and is organized in cooperation with Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Stockholm, Section for Baltic Languages at Stockholm University and Embassy of the Republic of Latvia in the Kingdom of Sweden.
The presentations will cover the situation in both, sending and receiving countries: the crisis and austerity in Baltics, emigration from Lithuania and situation of immigrants in Sweden as well as the changes in the Swedish labour market model.
